A common situation in which you'd change Mercury Lynx sizes is when buying winter/snow tires. This creates a longer footprint, also known as contact patch, where the tire connects to the ground. A longer contact patch can help snow traction.

  2. Place a tire pressure gauge even onto the valve stem and firmly press down
  3. The gauge will display the PSI
  4. Remove the gauge
  5. Replace the valve stem cap
  6. If the tires are overinflated, let some of the air out by pressing down the center plunger in the valve stem, and recheck.
